Legal immigrants should be outraged

Burt Constable's column regarding stealing education struck a nerve. What is the difference between the theft of education, services and health care by illegal aliens that makes it all right to vilify Arizona?

Why aren't legal aliens and naturalized citizens up in arms?

We entered this country in December of 1939 just days before my father was to be sent to a concentration camp by the Nazis. Even though our lives were in danger we had to have a visa and confirmation by someone in the United States that we would not be a drain on this country's economy. We also went to night school to learn the language and the laws. There were also quotas to make sure immigrants would add to the stability of the country.

It seems to be possible to return "boat people" to their country but not to keep out those crossing on land. The argument for cheap labor does not add to the stability or economy of the country, just to the pockets of their employers (who also get away without paying payroll taxes or insurance).

The bleeding hearts who worry about tearing a family apart should consider this crime just as if a thief were caught and his family was also torn apart. Perhaps I would feel more inclined to be lenient to those who pay taxes, have health and auto insurance and are "good citizens." I doubt if there are many illegals in that group.
