St. Raymond Volleyball Team wins Northwest Conference Championship

St. Raymond School's Eighth Grade Boys Volleyball Team capped off its winning season with a final record of 10-1 and the championship title for the Northwest Catholic Conference. The boys played extremely well all season and were thrilled their team's hard work garnered the championship.

Head Coach Angie Babicz is proud of the boys' teamwork all season long and their great tenacity in the conference championship games.

"I will never get tired of talking about this eighth grade team. I am so sad to see this season end. I wish we could play a little longer, "said Babicz. "The conference tournament was very challenging. We played St. James in the first match. We played very competitively and won in two games 25-18 and 25-9."

In the next match, St. Mary came from behind to beat St. Theresa. St. Raymond then faced St. Mary in the final match. The St. Raymond team was focused and ready to roll. St. Raymond won the match in two games: final scores were 25-16 and 25-17.
