Roselle man faces drug charges
A Roselle man faces felony drug charges after delivering seven grams of heroin to an undercover officer, Roselle police said this week.
Barandon A. Grooms, 24, of the 800 block of Overland Trail, was arrested Thursday and charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, a Class X felony that carries a possible sentence of six to 30 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
Authorities said Grooms delivered the heroin to an officer from the DuPage Metropolitan Enforcement Group, which assisted Roselle police in the investigation.
Bond was set at $150,000 during Grooms' bond hearing. He is due in court next on May 18.
