Look at the what teachers really do
To Mr. Miller and all you Mr. or Mrs. Miller's out there: Teachers are paid too much?
I suppose you are correct. I suppose it is not worth much to teach the future generations to read and write (communication skills are not essential, just need to know acronyms to text message). Just forget science and math (who needs a better world of less disease and who needs to balance a checkbook, it is sheik to be in debt, the government will bail you out).
The kids don't need history (our forefathers didn't do anything right according the present thinking of our government).
You are right, teachers don't need to learn or update skills to be peacemakers (to help kids learn to get along), or have the skills to be a psychologist (to understand what the individual students need to be able to get it), to help students understand the difference between right and wrong (oh wait, the parents have that one), to be flexible in their teaching because like all professions there is change this year and again next year (but you expect perfection for your kids).
Kids need the equipment and facilities in able to learn, the state of Illinois is dead broke (that is probably the fault of teachers) so those extras, the kids have in the classroom, wherever did all those things come from (it is just budgeted into the family budget)?. What a life of leisure those teachers have, yep, leaving the house one or two hours before the start of school, working at home into the night, and on the weekend to get everything done (but I forgot they only work when the kids are at school).
I am sure I could list other things but... How did you ever know teachers are so over paid?
