Sparton gains Navy contract

SCHAUMBURG - Sparton Corp. announced the award of a $14.5 million subcontract to manufacture sonobuoys for the United States Navy as part of the ERAPSCO joint venture.

Under an ERAPSCO subcontract, Sparton will produce subassemblies for the specific sonobuoys to support United States Naval Antisubmarine Forces.

With digital signal processing and a Sparton Digital Compass for bearing determination, Navy maritime patrol aircraft can locate and track targets.
