Nashville's top scorer remains day-to-day
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Nashville Predators' top goal scorer says he's day-to-day with an upper body injury that has limited him to playing only 13 minutes of their opening series with Chicago.
Forward Patric Hornqvist was scratched from Sunday night's 2-0 win by the Blackhawks and watched part of Monday's optional skate. He says it was tough not being able to play with his teammates.
The Predators sorely missed a player who has a team-high 30 goals. They were shut out for only the fourth time in postseason history and just the first on the road without Hornqvist.
The series, tied at 1-1, switches back to Nashville for Game 3 on Tuesday night. Nashville coach Barry Trotz says the Predators will decide Hornqvist's status before face-off.
