This time around, Burish odd man out vs. Predators

Adam Burish, who played such a key role in the playoffs last spring, will be the odd man out on the fourth line when the Blackhawks open their first-round series against Nashville on Friday night.

Colin Fraser, Tomas Kopecky and Ben Eager were highly productive on the fourth line the last two weeks of the season and coach Joel Quenneville said he would not be splitting them up.

"Right now, I don't foresee going into it changing that line," Quenneville said Wednesday.

Fraser finished with 4 goals in the last three games and Kopecky closed with 3 goals and 3 assists in his last six.

"Going into playoffs, those are the type of lines that sometimes are the edge and get that timely goal that can be the difference," Quenneville said. "We found last year that group gave us an edge in a lot of games and this year at the end of the year they really came up big for us."

Bryan Bickell also figures in the mix with Quenneville saying the rookie left wing would stay with the team and not be returned to Rockford.

"Bick is here for now and here for good," Quenneville said. "He's a part of our group and we can use him when we need him. When he gets an opportunity it looks like he really belongs up here."

Working on it: The power play, which closed the season just 6-for-61, got a lot of attention at Wednesday's practice.

Joel Quenneville appears to have settled on Dave Bolland at one of the points on the top unit opposite Duncan Keith.

"We liked the power play the last couple games and in practice it looked good as well," Quenneville said. "We're playing a Nashville team that doesn't take a lot of penalties so we want to make sure right off the bat the power play is rolling and get some momentum off it. When you get one or two (chances a game), you want to make it work and they can be huge goals for us."

Video kings: EA Sports, maker of the NHL '10 video game, simulated the playoffs with the Hawks winning the Stanley Cup.

"That's cool," said Kris Versteeg, who admitted he is not big into video games. "I might try to play NHL '09 and '10 just to see my name."

Hornqvist questionable: The Predators still are calling leading scorer Patric Hornqvist questionable for Game 1 with an upper body injury.

Hornqvist finished with 30 goals (10 on the power play) and 51 assists.
