Ex-inmate who made abuse allegations arrested

A former Lake County jail inmate charged with falsely accusing a corrections officer with abusing him surrendered to authorities today.

Patrick Anderson, 29, who has addresses in Waukegan and McHenry, is charged with felony disorderly conduct for telling officials he was beaten and Tasered by a corrections officer.

Sheriff's officials accused Anderson of filing a false police report when they said an investigation determined the allegation was not true.

Waukegan attorney Micheal Nerheim said Anderson appeared in bond court this morning and was released on the $5,000 bond he has already posted on felony retail theft and drug charges.

Anderson is due to appear in court April 20, Nerheim said.
