Kane Countybull; Six vehicles on the 38W200 block of Glenwood Drive, near Batavia, were reportedly "ransacked" Thursday. Police said nothing was stolen, but one vehicle's dash was damaged in an apparent attempt to remove a stereo. bull; A yard on the 38W300 block of Route 64, near St. Charles, was reported damaged Wednesday after a vehicle apparently drove across it. Damage was estimated at $40, police said.Genevabull; A man has been charged with theft, accused of stealing from his employer, the Shell gas station at 1491 E. State St., authorities said. Pankaj V. Shah, 56, of the 900 block of Concord Court in Carol Stream, is accused of taking $40, a $5 lottery ticket and a lottery ticket of unknown value. He also allegedly kept money customers had paid for three cans of Monster soft drink, a pack of cigarettes, and several packages of sunflower seeds, reports state. The incidents happened between 5:51 p.m. March 30 and 5:44 a.m. April 2, authorities said.bull; A 16GB silver iPod Touch was stolen out of a locker between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 26 at Geneva High School, 416 McKinley Ave., reports state.bull; A license plate and a license plate holder to which an IPass toll transponder was attached were stolen off a vehicle between 1:45 and 3:15 p.m. April 1 in a parking lot in the 2200 block of Fargo Boulevard, police said.bull; Benjamin D. Kesler, 19, of the 500 block of Maves Drive, Batavia, was given a ticket for public intoxication at 12:51 a.m. April 9 at the Metra station, 328 Crescent Place. Metra police called Geneva police to complain of two intoxicated passengers giving Metra employees trouble, reports said. Metra declined to press other charges.bull; A house in the 500 block of Fulton Street was burglarized between April 6 and 11:55 a.m. April 9. The burglar broke a basement window to get in, police said. It does not appear much was stolen, but since the owners were on vacation, a list has not been turned in, reports state. bull; An iPhone in a black Otter case, a black Dockers wallet, an Illinois driver's license, student identification, a debit card, cash and a knife were stolen out of a locker in the boys' locker room between noon and 12:50 p. m. April 9 at Geneva High School, 216 McKinley Ave., police said.bull; Someone put an 8-inch horizontal scratch on the driver's side of the windshield of a Ford Taurus between 9 p.m. April 9 and 9 a.m. April 10 in the 300 block of Colonial Circle, reports state.bull; A pair of prescription eyeglasses, an eyeglasses case, magnetic sunglass flip covers and seven Backwoods cigars were stolen out of an unlocked Toyota Avalon between 6:30 p.m. April 8 and 9 a.m. April 9 in the 700 block of Edison St., police said.bull; Peter L. Mathes, 23, of the 200 block of Campbell Court, Geneva, was charged with illegal transportation of open alcohol at 2:08 a.m. April 9 in the 200 block of West State Street, reports state. Police observing patrons exiting a bar at closing noticed Mathes cross State while carrying an open bottle of beer, turn and salute people outside the tavern by raising the beer, then getting in the passenger side of a car which then drove off. Police say they found an open bottle of Magic Hat No. 9 wedged between the passenger seat and door.Bataviabull; Earl Cordelro Thomas, 23, of the 1000 block of Lorlyn Circle, Batavia, was charged with retail theft at 4:12 p.m. Sunday, reports state. He is accused of taking a pair of basketball shoes from Kohl's, 251 N. Randall Road. He was also wanted on a warrant in connection with a domestic battery/causing great bodily harm case, according to reports. He posted $500 bond for the warrant, and was released.bull; John A. Marin, 32, of the 1100 block of Countryside Drive, Hanover Park, was charged with burglary and theft at 1:22 a.m. April 9 in the 1000 block of Lorlyn Circle. He is accused of breaking into a storage room for the swimming pool at Lorlyn Apartments, according to reports.
