Lower Fox River declared no-wake zone
The Fox Waterway Agency in Fox Lake that, due to high water, the lower river has been declared a no wake zone.
The lower river is between the Stratton-Bolger Lock and Dam in McHenry and the Algonquin Dam in Algonquin.
Officials said high water and floating debris forced the no-wake designation, and boaters should be cautious of floating debris and swift currents.
