Troy Murray: Hawks can take no positives from Game 3

Q. After such a bad performance, I guess the good news is the Blackhawks can't play any worse than they did in Game 3, right?A. I don't think there are any positives they take out of the game. The Blackhawks can say, "This is what Nashville did and this is how they outbattled us and this is what we have to do to match them."The Blackhawks certainly did not play a playoff-caliber type of game.Q. How is that even possible?A. That's the million-dollar question. The effort has to be there in the playoffs and it wasn't even close to where it needed to be. I can't think of anybody that played up to their potential in that hockey game.If you're going to be successful in the playoffs, not only do you have to play to your potential, you probably have to play even more than that.Q. Adam Burish and Bryan Bickell will see action tonight in Game 4. Is it surprising to see some lineup changes?A. I don't think so. If anybody is embarrassed or upset they're not in the lineup, don't look any further than the mirror. You make changes for a reason. You don't pull players who are playing well. It's not surprising a guy like Burish, who is an energy guy, will be back in the lineup. A young guy like Bickell is probably excited to get his first postseason action this year and will be up for the challenge and will up the energy level. If it were possible to make more changes, I'm sure Joel Quenneville would make more changes. But you can't pull everybody out of the lineup.Q. What would you tell Blackhawks fans who are on the ledge right now?A. It's one game and you have to win four. Nashville has to win two more games. In the big scheme of it, it's one game. And you have a chance here to atone for Tuesday's game. If you win that game tonight, it's right back where you have home ice advantage, so it's not a do-or-die situation. But it's imperative that they show up strong tonight.bull; You can hear Troy Murray's analysis on every Blackhawks radio broadcast on WGN 720-AM.
