Arlington Heightsbull; Police are looking for a man suspected of passing a counterfeit $100 bill at Liquor Mart, 704 E. Kensington Road, around 4:15 p.m. Feb. 15. He is described as a white male in his 30s, 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5 inches tall, 140 pounds, with a full beard and an apparent deformed right arm he was not able to use.bull; Thieves stole a green 2001 Mitsubishi Galant sedan valued at $1,000 parked on the street on the 200 block of North Kaspar Avenue between 11:30 p.m. Feb. 15 and 11:30 a.m. Feb. 16. bull; Burglars climbed into a fenced storage locker in an apartment building on the 300 block of East Seegers Road between Oct. 31 and Feb. 15 and stole Christmas decorations and broke an antique chair.bull; Vandals spray painted graffiti on four street signs at Kennicott and Happfield roads around 3 p.m. Feb. 16.Buffalo Grovebull; Restaurant managers reported that a man and woman ordered food and beverages and then left without paying the $18.04 check at 1:40 a.m. Feb. 18 at IHOP, 51 McHenry Road. The couple was last seen leaving in a black Lincoln Navigator, leading police to speculate whether it was the car payment that kept them from paying for their meal.bull; A passer-by reported a battery in the parking lot of a store in the 1100 block of West Lake Cook Road at 7:45 p.m. Feb. 17. The victim, who had blood and cuts on his face, told police that several people got out of two other cars and one of them hit him. Swaiss, 43, of the 700 block of North Franklin Avenue, Palatine, was arrested around 6:45 p.m. Feb. 9 at George's Wine and Spirits, 146 W. Northwest Hwy., and charged with local ordinance sale of alcohol to a minor. Douglas S. Ahrens, 50, of the 2600 block of College Hill Circle, Schaumburg, was arrested around 8:40 p.m. Feb. 9 at P's and Q's Bar, 321 S. Rohlwing Road, and charged with the same offense. A court date is March 15.bull; Thieves stole a gray 1999 Hyundai Elantra with the engine running and doors unlocked in an apartment lot on the 1800 block of North Green Lane between 12:10 and 12:20 p.m. Feb. 10. Value was estimated at $4,000.bull; Ian M. Taylor, 20, of the 1200 block of East Prairiebrook Drive, Palatine, was arrested around 8 p.m. Feb. 11 at Walmart, 1555 N. Rand Road, and charged with local ordinance retail theft. He was found with four video games valued at $87, reports said. bull; Miroslawa Chrzanowska, 30, of the 3300 block of Carriage Way, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at T.J. Maxx, 1311 N. Rand Road, and charged with local ordinance retail theft. Security personnel said she took a fleece jacket and chocolate candy, reports said.Rolling Meadowsbull; Brian Olmos, 17, of the 1900 block of Algonquin Road, Mount Prospect, was charged with retail theft, battery and other charges Feb. 7 at Meijer, 1301 Meijer Drive. Store security personnel told police that Olmos was seen placing a $15.99 bottle of Jose Cuervo tequila in his pants and leaving the store without paying for it. He pushed security personnel who stopped him and attempted to flee, reports said.bull; Peter G. Brown, 25, of 4700 block of N. Beacon in Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 2:15 a.m. Feb. 4. Police found him sleeping in his car, which was stopped in the 2900 block of Central Road, reports said. A search of the car turned up a pipe and a baggie containing 2 grams of marijuana, police said.bull; A woman living in an assisted living facility in the 2800 block of Algonquin Road reported missing a gold and diamond engagement ring valued at $5,000, a ladies gold Seiko watch worth $200 and a ladies pink gold watch with rubies around the face valued at $800.Schaumburgbull; Kaneisha D. Jackson, 19, of the 1100 block of Pine Valley Drive, Schaumburg, was arrested around 7:15 a.m. Feb. 5 at her apartment and charged with domestic battery and battery to a police officer.bull; Nickolas J. Miller, 20, of the 200 block of Hickory Drive, Crystal Lake, was arrested around 7:10 p.m. Feb. 6 at Dominick's, 1293 E. Higgins Road, and charged with retail theft. His court date is March 5.
