Follow the law and stop complaining
There is a drive to outlaw or severely restrict the use of red light cameras. The usual drivel arguments used to excuse breaking laws and demanding absolution are the same used by the elitist snobs that got the law changed so that you could speed in the outside lanes of freeways. The nonsense about getting rear ended (probably was true for maybe three or four people per 100,000 tickets issued) is just that, nonsense. I have been driving since the 1950s and have never even come close to getting rear ended while making a right turn on a red light.
There is a simple solution to totally eliminating any possibility of getting a moving violation from a red-light camera ... put your foot on the break pedal and keep it there until your car comes to a complete stop. Sure you can continue to use those California stops but that's your problem.
I have rarely heard so much whining from people who broke a law except for the clowns who think that the speed limit signs on the toll way are just suggestions. How ignorant is it that there is a speed limit for the right two lanes and a different, unknown and floating limit for the left lane? If a municipality is collecting too much money for an infraction the problem is not the infraction it is the arrogance or the ignorance of the person who got the ticket. Try accepting some responsibility for your mistakes.
