Don't let wealthy control your money
W.C. Fields made a movie that was called "If I only had a million." That was about 80 years ago. I'm still using Chevy Chase's line about feeling like a hundred dollars.
What's wrong with earning what is rightfully ours? Nothing. But what is morally wrong is to capitalize on other people's misfortunes.
Allowing insurance companies to charge high rates with large deductibles and then refuse services is morally wrong and should be criminal. As is allowing wealthy bank investors to gamble with Medicare and Social Security and watch the elderly suffer while the super wealthy gain through capitalism.
When will the dumb middle class America realize there is no benefit to them to let the wealthy conservatives dictate to them what is wrong and what is right? If we are so stupid as to vote these thugs in and allow them to privatize Medicare and Social security then we deserve our own demise.
Around the world there our many democratic governments, especially in Europe, that are doing a great job of controlling the affects of capitalism in their countries. When we try it here, the right wing talk hosts cry socialism and their blind followers rally.
What's sad is so many decent, hardworking Americans don't deserve this. I don't care about millionaires, I just want to make a living and maybe retire some day.
