Fine arts students deserve recognition

It is disappointing that high school students who are involved in the Fine Arts get minimal exposure in your paper. Most activities coming out of the high schools for print revolve around sports.

Case in point: Students who achieved All State and All State Honors recognition in Band, Choir and Orchestra put on a great performance in Peoria the last weekend in January.

These students are the very best in the state. Why no article regarding this event or mentioning of the individuals that received this status?

These kids have earned this honor through hard work over many years. They are well deserving of some "spotlight" time.
