Democrats are best hope of the people

I'm writing to see if my fellow working Americans will listen. I feel like so many of us are being fooled by the Republicans who claim to support the middle class. In my case, the barely hanging onto the middle class. I read a lot. Books, magazines, multiple newspapers. I make a point of reading the opposition.

Being a lifelong Democrat out of the Democratic Farmer Labor Party mold of Minnesota, the opposition is the Republican Party. I'm 66 years old. I've heard all their lies too many times. I am also one of the angry people. I'm angry with the cowardice and ignorance of our House and Senate, both Democrats and Republicans. But even if half the Democrats, who used to be the Republican moderates support them, we cannot believe what the Republicans are trying to sell with the support of these false Democrats.

There is no hope or future in going their direction. They always have wanted to not only destroy Social Security and think by privatization they will be able to accomplish that. They want the same financial powerhouses to hold our Social Security monies that controlled their banks and financial institutions and destroyed them.

Additionally, they've always hated Medicare and have historically tried to gut it. They champion Medicare falsely now to make those of who us who rely on these programs help them destroy the one functioning health care system we have in this country.

The Democrats are far from being the historical party of the people they once were, but at least there is hope within their party walls.

Please read more, think more, use your common sense. Do not allow the Republicans to finish the destruction of this country they have already started.
