Health care inaction not an option As a physician, I have watched the national health reform debate with interest. Every day, I spend countless hours to help patients tackle through our broken health care system - and every day, I become even more certain that we cannot continue like this and must have reform this year. The medical profession has a responsibility to protect and care for all Americans. As the House and Senate negotiate the final health reform bill, they must include the strongest possible regulations of the insurance companies to ensure access to high quality care. With these essential elements, we will begin to build the better health care system that I know we need. Inaction is not an option. Obstruction and resistance to health care overhaul will only result in more uninsured Americans and bankrupt our nation.Anne LiLisle
