Boating safety classes set

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 7-11 has scheduled a series of two-day basic boating safety classes over the next six months at Holy Ghost Church, 254 N. Wood Dale Road in Wood Dale.

Each two-class session will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on consecutive Saturdays. This year's sessions will be Feb. 27 and March 6, April 17 and 24, May 15 and 22, June 19 and 26 and July 24 and 31. The cost is $40 per person or $50 per person. During the sessions, free vessel safety checks are also available by appointment.
