Bears' WR Knox named to Pro Bowl
The Chicago Bears were notified by the NFL today that Johnny Knox has been added as a selection to the 2010 Pro Bowl as a kick returner. Knox is the first Bears rookie to be named to the Pro Bowl since Devin Hester accomplished the feat as a kick returner during the 2006 season. Knox will replace Minnesota's Percy Harvin due to injury.
Knox returned 32 kickoffs for 927 yards during the 2009 season and his 29.0 average was second in the NFL. In Week 4 versus Detroit, the rookie out of Abilene Christian returned the opening kickoff of the second half 102 yards for a touchdown, the second longest kickoff return in team history.
