Woodridge police say man was murdered

A man was found dead in an apartment in Woodridge on Thursday, authorities said Friday.
Officials from the Woodridge Police Department have labeled the case a homicide, following their discovery of the victim on the 2500 block of Meadowdale Lane late Thursday morning.
Preliminary investigation indicates the incident is isolated, and police said the general public is not in any danger.
No suspects were in custody, but investigators were continuing to follow all possible leads, police said.
The victim’s identity was not released.
Officials from the DuPage County coroner’s and state’s attorney’s offices did not release any additional information on Friday.
