Up to five injured in early morning Schaumburg accident

At least five people received minor injures early Monday when two vehicles collided on Irving Park Road.

Sgt. John Nebl of the Schaumburg Police Department said the cause of the crash remains under investigation, and its unknown at this time if any citations were issued.

He said up to five and possibly seven people were transported via ambulance to Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village with minor, nonlife threatening injuries.

He said details of the crash are still being pieced together.

More information will be released later, he said.
