Glendale Heights man faces child porn charges
A Glendale Heights man has been charged with four felony counts of aggravated possession of child pornography following an online investigation by police, authorities said.
Luigi Castillo, 33, of the 2000 block of Juniper Court, was taken into custody without incident on Wednesday.
Officials said they found evidence that suggests Castillo possessed images, as well as videos, containing child pornography. It follows an investigation started in September by the Illinois Attorney General's High Tech Crimes Bureau and Detective Michael Huff of the Glendale Heights Police Department.
Castillo's bond was set at $75,000, of which he needs to post 10 percent to be released. He would also be required to surrender his passport to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office, have no contact with children under 18 years of age or any computer access.
If convicted, he could face probation, or between three and seven years in prison.
He is due in court Jan. 9.
