Gurnee man faces felony DUI charges
A 37-year-old Gurnee man is facing felony drunken driving charges after his early Saturday morning arrest in Mount Prospect, his third DUI arrest in 15 years, authorities said.
Jung Hur was arrested just before 2:30 a.m. near Park Drive and Yuma Lane, according to court records.
Hur’s bond was set at $20,000 during a Saturday hearing. The judge said a $5,000 bond request was too low considering Hur had received court supervision following a 1996 DUI arrest and was convicted of DUI in 2004 in Lake County.
Hur had his driver’s license suspended following his 2004 conviction, but was convicted in 2005 of disobeying that order, according to court records.
Hur is being held at the Cook County jail in lieu of the bond amount. His next court date is slated for Dec. 1.
