Buffalo Grove’s Cooper boys state champs again
Buffalo Grove’s Cooper Middle School cross country teams ran in the IESA State Cross Country meet on Saturday, Oct. 15. In each race, Cooper took on 30 teams and over 250 runners.
The Cooper Girls team ran a great race and placed sixth in the state.
In the boys race, Cooper was trying to do something it had never done before and that was to win “back-to-back” state titles.
The competition was tough this year. Cooper fought hard and when the race was over and the places were counted. Cooper had won another State Championship.
The boys championship team was recognized by District 21 at its board meeting Monday, Oct. 17.
