Free throw shoot for turkey:

The Vernon Hills Park District hosts its annual basketball free throw shooting contest Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Sullivan Community Center, 635 N. Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills. Team are comprised of one adult and one child from 4 to 15 years old and will be grouped by age. The highest scoring team in each age category will win a free turkeys. The fee is $8 per team.
