City seeks grant for W. Washington St. redevelopment site

West Chicago: Nov. 11, 2011 – The city of West Chicago, Illinois is applying for $200,000 from a United States Environmental Protection Agency Brownfields Cleanup Grant for the West Washington Street Redevelopment site located at 119 Washington St.

The grant application is due Monday, Nov. 28, 2011.

A draft grant application is available for review and comment beginning Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 at the Community Development Department located at 475 Main St., West Chicago, IL 60185.

All comments should be directed to Joanne Kalchbrenner, director of community development, at the address above or jkalchbrenner@westchicago.org.

Additionally, the draft grant application will be discussed at the Development Committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14, 2011 at city hall located at 475 Main St. in West Chicago. Comments will be collected at that meeting.
