What to watch: The Coyotes are off to a solid start again under coach Dave Tippett at 12-7-3. Goalie Mike Smith is a big reason why with 11 wins and a .933 save percentage. The Phoenix penalty-killing is fourth in the NHL, but the power play is 28th. Corey Crawford beat the Coyotes 5-2 in Arizona last month and gets the start again.

Season series: Hawks lead 1-0.
