Hanover Twp. hosts new principal reception

On Tuesday, Oct. 18, Hanover Township hosted a New Leaders in Education reception at the township Senior Center to recognize four new School District U-46 principals that serve in Hanover Township. Principals Suzanne Colombe, Bartlett High School; Jerry Cook, Elgin High School; Ariel Correa, Hilltop Elementary and Catherine Fletcher of Heritage Elementary.

Officials from Hanover Township, the villages of Streamwood and Hanover Park, as well staff from U-46 attended the reception to honor the new principals.

“The township and U-46 have always had a strong relationship and we look forward to working with the new principals to better serve our residents through our partnership programs such as open gym and tutoring,” said Hanover Township Supervisor Brian P. McGuire.

This was the third annual event recognizing new U-46 principals.

“With Hanover Township, it has always been an honest partnership looking at what we can do for the betterment of the community, not just the township or the school district,” said Greg Walker, U-46 assistant superintendent of secondary education.
