Maple Park teen receives Eagle Scout award

Jay Alexander Markuson of Maple Park received his Eagle Scout Award at a ceremony Aug. 28. Jay is a member of Boy Scout Troop 7, which meets at the Community Congregational United Church of Christ in Elburn, where the ceremony was held.

For his Eagle project, Jay designed and coordinated the construction and installation of storage shelves for the Lazarus House in St. Charles.

To help celebrate, Elburn Village President Dave Anderson, the American Legion and Marine Corps League were part of the ceremony.
