Derrick, Soltys lead Neuqua Valley to sectional crown

Class 3A Lockport sectional:Seniors Mark Derrick and Taylor Soltys finished 1-2 for Neuqua Valley, which won the meet with 56 points. Hinsdale Central was second at 106.Derrick won in 15:28, and Soltys finished in 15:47.Class 3A Niles West sectional:Willowbrook senior Pat Niyork earned third place with a 14:54.38 finish. York scored 73 points to win the team title.Class 2A Nazareth sectional: Sophomores John Wold and Joe Singleton placed 1-2, respectively, for Glenbard South, which also won the team title with 38 points.
