Wisconsin AD, football coach tell fans to keep it clean

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez and football coach Bret Bielema are urging fans to keep it clean.

An email sent to all student season ticket holders asks fans to end the tradition of yelling obscenity-laced cheers back and forth at Camp Randall Stadium. The email tells students to have a good time at the game, but without chanting four-letter words.

Alvarez and Bielema say they’ve gotten complaints from visitors and Badger fans about the profane chants. The State Journal says the athletic department has also put together a video this year that plays on the jumbo screen at the stadium asking students to be on their best behavior.
