Recycling event nets 5,700 pounds of paper

More than 150 people participated each day of State Bank of the Lakes’ fall shredding and electronic recycling events.

During the Sept. 17 event at the Antioch and Lindenhurst branches, more than 5,770 pounds of paper was shredded and 15 skids of electronic recycled items were hauled away totaling more than 4,950 pounds.

On Sept. 24, at the Lake Villa, Spring Grove, and Grayslake branches, nearly 10,000 pounds of paper was shredded and 16 skids of electronic items weighing approximately 5,400 pounds was recycled.
