Hyde trial moved:

The trial of theft and official misconduct charges against Sharon Hyde was changed Friday in Lake County Circuit Court. Hyde, 60, the wife of former Island Lake mayor Thomas Hyde, is accused of collecting $114,000 in pay for hours she did not work as director of a village-run preschool. She was scheduled to go on trial Oct. 17, but attorneys on both sides of the case met with Circuit Judge Fred Foreman and agreed to change that date to Nov. 28. Hyde faces a mandatory prison sentence of 6 to 30 years if convicted and is due to appear in court Oct. 21.
