Hanover Twp. Dial-A-Ride available for seniors, disabled

Township residents over the age of 55 and those over the age of 19 with permanent disabilities can participate in the Hanover Township Dial-A-Bus program that provides transportation services for medical appointments and personal errands.

Dial-A-Bus operates from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturdays, to and from the Senior Center. A donation of $1 each way is requested. All Rides are scheduled by calling the Dial-A-Bus dispatcher at (630) 483-5656. The dispatcher is available between 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Reservations must be made for all rides at least 24 hours in advance. Rides to doctors, dentists and therapy appointments may be made up to six weeks in advance.

“If there wasn’t this service, I couldn’t go to my doctor appointments, grocery stores or the mall,” said Shirley Julian, a Dial-A-Bus rider of 10 years. “I am a two-time cancer survivor and I couldn’t have received my treatments without the help of the Dial-A Bus.”

For more information, contact the Hanover Township Senior Center, (630) 483-5600.
