Wood Dale gets new police chief

More than 70 citizens, elected officials and police officers packed the Wood Dale village boardroom and adjoining hallway to witness the swearing in Greg Vesta as the new police chief, after honoring retiring Police Chief Frank Biniewcz. Biniewcz was honored with a proclamation form the city of Wood Dale along with statements of gratitude from state and federal elected officials.
“I am humbled by everyone here tonight,” Vesta said after being sworn in.
