Naperville police investigating copper thefts

Naperville police are investigating multiple thefts of copper piping from vacant homes.Police said Tuesday that Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information regarding the copper thefts that have been prevalent in the far southwestern portion of Naperville.Most of the thefts are believed to have taken place during daytime so residents have been asked to look out for suspicious activity in neighborhoods with vacant homes for sale,Police cautioned residents not to approach suspicious people near the homes, but rather document license plates of any vehicles and call police.Those with information should call (630) 420-6006.
