Reward in Oakbrook Terrace theft now $10,000
A construction firm has increased to $10,000 its reward for information leading to a wheel loader stolen from Oakbrook Terrace and the conviction of those responsible.
The Case 621E, valued at $160,000, was reported stolen Aug. 12 from the site of a reconstruction project at 22nd Street and Butterfield Road.
Officials of Martam Construction in Elgin said it was the third theft of heavy equipment from the site since January. Also taken were a Kawasaki 65Z wheel loader and a Case CX160 excavator.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Martam at (847) 608-6800 or Oakbrook Terrace police at (630) 941-8320.
