Eclipse Select nets 2nd place at tourney

The Eclipse Select Tri-Cities Soccer team participated in the 43rd annual Illinois State Cup Soccer Tournament in Rockford and finished second in the Girls U-13 Division.

The Illinois State Cup is the officially recognized statewide tournament; it is part of the U.S. Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships and U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships.

The Eclipse Select Tri-Cities team was one of 37 teams that qualified for the U-13 division.

The team is based in Geneva and comprised of players from the Tri-Cities and Western suburbs.
