Schaumburg Radio Club demonstrations this weekend

The Schaumburg Amateur Radio Club will be demonstrating a simulated emergency test with other radio operators across the U.S. from 2-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 26, at the Schaumburg water tower on Plum Grove Road, three blocks north of Golf Road at Penny Lane. Visitors will see how test messages were sent between amateurs after Hurricane Katrina and most recently the Japan tsunami. These messages contained local government traffic and information on the health and welfare status of loved ones across the country and around the world.
