Geneva man faces child porn charges
A Geneva man was arrested Tuesday morning on charges of possession of child pornography.
Geneva police arrested Gary J. Reschke, 56, at 6 a.m. at Reschke’s home in the 3100 block of Larrabee Drive, police said.
According to a news release, a search of the house revealed images and videos of child pornography. The search was the culmination of a four-month investigation by the police, in conjunction with the Illinois Attorney General’s office.
The Kane County State’s Attorney’s office authorized 12 counts of aggravated child pornography, a Class 2 felony punishable by three to seven years in prison, and three of child pornography, a Class 3 felony punishable by two to five years in prison.
Bail will be determined by a judge Wednesday afternoon at the Kane County Judicial Center.
Reschke is an assistant community development director for Addison. He has been placed on administrative leave, according to Don Weiss, Addison’s community relations director.
