Palatine library exterior work begins

The Palatine Public Library District asks that patrons pardon the dust as construction gets under way Wednesday on the installation of a snow melt system.

Work will take place under the walkways across the front (south) entry areas of the main library, 700 N. North Court. The project, which is expected to be completed in late July, also will include new lighting fixtures and replacement of deteriorating landscaping.

Access from either the east or west surface parking areas will be restricted, but the underground garage will be open.
