Fox Valley Repertory welcomes new local board, staff
May 2011, St. Charles, IL –Fox Valley Repertory recently added two new members to their Board of Directors: Tamara Sims of South Elgin and Stephen S. Healy of Bartlett; as well as three new staff members: Front of House Manager Kate Shultz of St. Charles and Assistant House Managers Katherine Minnix of Carol Stream and Erika Davidson of Elburn.
This year, Noble Fool Theatricals became Fox Valley Repertory; a name that accurately represents the community they have grown their mission, vision, patron base, and academy students around. This expanded mission has resulted in the planning of this July's inaugural Summer Theater Fest in St. Charles – which will showcase the productions and new works of Fox Valley Repertory, and include performances from the Arcada Theatre, Steel Beam Theatre, Fox Valley Concert Band, St. Charles Singers and more.
The two new board members are:
Tamara Sims along with her husband Jay are the owners of Something to Dance 2 DJ entertainment in Schaumburg. Tamara is very active in the St. Charles community as a prior board member of the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce (2007-2010), current vice-chair of the Women's Business Council, and an active member for 6 years in the Wednesday Lead$ Group, where she has also held Chair positions. Anyone who knows Tamara is well aware that she is an avid theater lover! She attends theater on a regular basis and looks forward to her multiple trips to New York City each year. Tamara resides in South Elgin, with her husband Jay, hundreds of theater posters and playbills, and an amazing collection of Stephen Sondheim music.
Stephen S. Healey is a Client Solutions Director at Cisco in the Services Sales organization. Mr. Healey has been with Cisco since 2008 and specializes in leading large scale Business Transformation initiatives. Mr. Healey has 10 years of internal business operations experience and has shifted his career path 18 years ago to programming, IT management and management consulting. His combined professional acumen in business and IT operations offers a unique and balanced perspective to assist clients with complex strategic initiatives.
“I very much enjoy the enthusiasm and passion the current Board and staff has about the vision for the Fox Valley Repertory,” says Board Member Steve Healey. “I cannot adequately communicate how excited I am to be a part of growing Fox Valley Repertory into something that exceeds all of our wildest dreams!”
Also joining the Fox Valley Rep team is St. Charles resident Kate Schultz, who recently accepted the position of Front of House Manager. A St. Charles East and Northwestern University graduate, Kate has worked with established performing arts organizations such as Piven Theatre and Harris Theater for Music and Dance, as well as previously serving as a marketing intern and academy instructor with Fox Valley Repertory!
Joining her staff as Assistant House Manager is Katherine Minnix of Carol Stream, who will be bringing her house management skills from Chicago's Collaboraction, Studio BE, and House Theatre to Fox Valley Rep. Also joining the team is Erika Davidson of Elburn, a recent Milliken University graduate of fine arts administration.
