Streamwood police investigate Sunday shooting

Streamwood police continue to investigate a gang-related shooting that took place just after midnight Sunday outside a home on the 0-99 block of Streamwood Boulevard.

No one was injured in the shooting in which several shots were fired, police said.

According to a police report, the shooting occurred after a resident of the home stepped outside when he heard his sister yell at two men pacing across the street. When he also started to yell at the men, one of them fired several shots, at which point he started to chase them.

Three or four more shots were fired during the chase before another neighbor saw the two men get into a red Blazer or GMC and drive off, according to reports.

The Streamwood Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and will continue to search for the two men seen with a gun.
