Burlington Central wins conference crown

The Burlington Central girls soccer team defeated Marengo 2-0 Thursday night to secure the Big Northern East championship.

Camille Dela Cruz and Heather Krup scored goals for the Rockets (13-6-1, 8-1-1) in the second half and Caitlin Solberg turned away 17 shots in goal to secure the win.Bartlett 1, St. Charles North 1: Nicole Gobbo found the back of the net off of a feed from Alex Cappello as the Hawks (11-6-4, 2-4) drew a tie in Upstate Eight Conference action.
