Lake Fairfield Lane access cut

Access to Fairfield Road from Lake Fairfield Lane will be permanently closed as of Wednesday, June 1. A cul-de-sac will be built on the east end of Lake Fairfield Lane, with access to that residential street only from Gossell Road.

The work is being done as part of project to install a traffic signal and realign Gossell Road to intersect with Fairfield Road at a 90-degree angle.

That will move the intersection closer to Lake Fairfield Road, making it desirable to eliminate the second intersection, according to the Lake County Division of Transportation. The project began last year and is in the final stage of construction.
