Another chance for Burt to change mind
This letter is in reply to Burt Constable's column and his interview with Joe Scheidler. I, too, disagree with Burt's “pro-choice” attitude. If Mr. Scheidler can't convert him, I don't know who could. I will give him another chance to change his view by quoting from Rev. Frank Pavone's Pro-Life Reflections for Every Day. Rev. Pavone is the National Director for Priests for Life.
Reflection: “Though He was conceived of a virgin, Jesus nevertheless lived as a son in a human family. The family is the sanctuary of life. The family, above all, is where life is to be welcomed, no matter how fragile or inconvenient it may be. One of the many reasons why the Church sees abortion and euthanasia as pre-eminent issues is because these crimes are committed by one family member upon another.”
If someday, Burt's daughter would abort her child, she would be aborting his granddaughter or grandson. How would that make you feel? It's all about family. Please go on the website for information about Priests for Life and the vivid views of abortion. Maybe that, too, would change your mind.
