One stabbed in Crystal Lake brawl
A Crystal Lake man was seriously injured after being stabbed multiple times during a fight there early Sunday morning, while two other people were struck in the head with a metal scooter, police said.
Police responded to a 911 call just after 2 a.m. on the 100 block of Woodstock Street and found Miguel Osorio-Osorio outside the Crystal Lake Apartments, bleeding from a stab wounds to the chest and abdomen, according to police.
Osorio-Osorio, 25, was first taken by ambulance to Northern Illinois Medical Center, but later was airlifted to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville due to the severity of the wounds, according to authorities. Officials said he was stable Monday afternoon.
Police arrested Ezequiel Del Angel, 33, of the 100 block of Woodstock Street in Crystal Lake, after an investigation linked him to the stabbing, authorities said.
Two other Crystal Lake men, a 33-year-old and a 29-year-old, were treated for head wounds at Woodstock Memorial Hospital and released. Both victims were struck in the head with a metal scooter by an unknown attacker during the fight, which involved 15 to 20 people, police said.
Del Angel has been charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery — one for causing great bodily harm and another for use of a deadly weapon — and one misdemeanor charge of unlawful use of a weapon, according to police.
Police arrested a second Crystal Lake man, 27-year-old Isidro Segura, who was involved in the fight. He was charged with aggravated assault, but was released after posting $150 bail, according to authorities.
