Schaumburg Flag Day picnic for seniors

The annual Flag Day picnic for area seniors on Schaumburg’s municipal grounds will begin at 10 a.m. on June 14. Festivities will be held outdoors on the plaza between the municipal center and Prairie Center for the Arts at 101 Schaumburg Court. The program will include a flag ceremony, guest speakers, a patriotic sing-along, lunch and bingo. The $4 tickets are available on a limited basis and should be obtained as soon as possible at the Schaumburg Barn, 231 Civic Drive in Schaumburg. Program sponsors include the villages of Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates, the Schaumburg Park District, Schaumburg Township, the Schaumburg Township District Library, Community Nutrition Network, Manor Care, Arden Court, Harris Bank and Friendship Village.
