Schaumburg home to 100th Smashburger
Smashburger, the Denver-based restaurant chain, will open its 100th location at 697 E. Golf Road in Schaumburg at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27.
The first Chicago-area Smashburger opened in Batavia in December. Company officials expect there to be seven locations in the Chicago area by the end of the year.
The restaurant gets its name from the way the burgers are cooked. Made from 100 percent fresh Angus beef, they are smashed flat on a grill to sear in the flavor, representatives said.
