Schaumburg, Elk Grove buildings claim regional awards

Office centers in Schaumburg and Elk Grove Village are among five suburban Chicago facilities named regional winners in The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award competition.

The TOBY Awards is the most prestigious and comprehensive program of its kind in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing excellence in office building management and operations, according to the Building Owners and Managers Association.

The regional winners now proceed to international competition, where winners will be announced June 28 in Washington, D.C.

25 Northwest Point, at 25 Northwest Point Blvd. in Elk Grove Village, captured the regional honor in the 100,000 to 249,999 square feet category.

The Schaumburg Corporate Center, 1501 E. Woodfield Road, won in the over one million square feet category.

Other suburban winners include the McDonald’s Corporation in Oak Brook, for the corporate facility category; the Parkway North Center in Deerfield for the suburban office park low-rise category; and Mid America Plaza in Oakbrook Terrace for the suburban office park mid-rise category.
